On March 13, 2024, the Dallas Sidekicks Soccer Team, along with the Love for Kids charity, paid tribute to the life and charitable work of Daniel Calhoun, aka Captain AmeriDad at Credit Union of Texas Event Center. At halftime, local cosplayers played a short scrimmage game on the field in honor of Cap.
